Design and development of eAxle sealing interfaces, including: O-rings (static and dynamic applications) Radial shaft seals (dynamic applications) Wet sealing concepts Solid (form-in-place / elastomeric) sealing solutions Strong understanding of sealing fundamentals, including: Initial compression and stretch Groove fill and squeeze Pressure-supported sealing behavior Static vs. dynamic sealing requirements Media, temperature, and lifetime influences Simulation requirements Validation and Reliability requirements Corrosion behavior Ability to develop sealing concepts and perform design calculations in line with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 3601, DIN, OEM internal standards). Solid knowledge and practical application of GD&T, including tolerance analysis and stack-up focused on sealing interfaces. Capability to interpret manufacturing and interface drawings and derive detailed sealing groove and counter-surface designs. Experience in material selection and validation for elastomers and sealing-relevant materials (e.g., EPDM, HNBR, FKM, ACM), considering media compatibility, aging, and environmental conditions. Understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints related to sealing interfaces, such as: Machining and surface finish requirements Injection molding and Stamping and forming Housing and shaft tolerances Effective communication and presentation skills, able to present sealing concepts, risks, countermeasures, and validation results across engineering and management levels. Good understanding of product development phases, validation loops, and Quality Gates (QGs). Proficient in Siemens UG NX for sealing and interface design. Working knowledge of SAP for handling part releases, BOMs, and change management. Job Description Responsible for eAxle/ Xin1-sealing components and assemblies from a constructive point of view (design) à ensure functionally, ready for production, meet assembly, within budget construction based on standard technology of the construction kit Accountable for the realization of the mech. design of the respective sealing components of eAxle w.r.t interfaces, compliant with the design kit Lead release of the work products (state –materials, norms, production instructions and drawings) incl. release of deviations from design kit by relevant groups and committees (Cross functional team, core team) Main contact person and interface to suppliers at a technical level including design topics internal / external for the respective component/assembly Responsible person to ensure the correct system integration of the sealing component Evaluation of component changes (impact on functionality, assembly, quality, manufacturability, costs, timing) DRBFM and FMEA of assembly and product Responsibility for holding or improving component costs (PPC) Prepare documentation and decision for change process (CCB/ECM)
