Job Description

ALDIA works with its own group of consultants to improve quality, create stability, minimize risks and provide technological and innovative solutions by being part of all phases of the complete life cycle of the processes incorporating the agile methodology in each of them.

We are currently looking for a Component Engineer to join our team of consultants on an indefinite basis, located in UK, France, Turkey or Spain.

Responsibilities or duties:

  • Work with internal design team and/or external design team to develop designs for new tooled unique EDS components, as agreed with
  • Supervisor/Project Leader and in line with project timing.
  • Participate in all relevant customer and supplier meetings, preparation and holding of presentations for project reviews and also in acquisition phases.
  • Support product design reviews internally and at supplier / customer locations. Support prototype vehicle builds at customer locations, as required.
  • Review and document issues per build phase and track to resolution.
  • Follow company procedures and processes for component development according to the agreed ASIC for the program.
  • Lead development of the component design concept with internal harness engineers, designers, as well as external development & production suppliers.
  • Collate and review relevant internal and customer specifications and requirements for specific components
  • Author and obtain approval of Component Product Specification (CP5) document.
  • Monitor component design and development to review / agree the designs with the customer (and suppliers where appropriate), and follow DFA/FM processes.
  • Establish, agree and track the appropriate level of timing plans with internal team, supplier team and customer, as agreed with PL.
  • Coordinate development partners for the 2D / 3D design. Track open issues and run regular reviews to ensure issue closure in a timely manner.
  • Lead internal / customer releasing of components as defined by component type and PL to support project timing.
  • Plan end, report and update status regularly internally and to customer.
  • With the support of DVP team, define component sign off testing plan and agree with customer.
