Job Description

Compliance Technician (New Kensington, PA)

You will be a part of product safety and compliance efforts that help bring innovative Sleep & Respiratory Care technologies to patients around the world.

Your role:

• Perform product safety testing to applicable global standards, including IEC 60601-1 and ISTA 3A.
• Set up and operate laboratory equipment such as power analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, dielectric testers, multimeters, surge generators, and environmental chambers.
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests including leakage current, dielectric strength, temperature, pressure, stability, flammability, and single-fault testing.
• Document test procedures and results and prepare reports for review and approval by the Compliance Engineer.
• Support certification audits and collaborate with external testing laboratories to ensure timely and cost-effective compliance testing.
• Assist with equipment calibration, laboratory maintenance, SOP development, and maintaining product compliance documentation.

You're the right fit if:

• You have acquired at least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting testing, verification, validation, product safety, compliance, or certification activities in a regulated environment.
• You have an Associate Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar
• You have experience working with certification and testing agencies, and you are comfortable participating in audits, inspections, or agency interactions when needed.
• You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and you can work effectively with engineering, compliance, regulatory, product development, manufacturing, and project management teams.
• You can work and think independently while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, project management capability, and proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint.
• You have experience supporting certification to product safety standards and working with a test laboratory, highly preferred. You have knowledge of medical device standards, and experience with wireless compliance, electromagnetic compatibility testing, and product compliance is preferred.
• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in New Kensington PA is $27.00 to $43.00 hourly.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
