The Compliance Tax Specialist is responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of the company's tax forms. This role focuses heavily on local compliance, income tax, anti-money laundering, and e-invoicing advisory, ensuring adherence to regulations and mitigating compliance risks. The specialist also supports the implementation of planning tax and legal defense in tax audits.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of tax calculations, estimates, and provisions for Income Tax and VAT to ensure their timely and accurate filing to determine the amount to be paid for tax contributions federal, state and municipal.

• Maintain tax balances on the general ledger, of the direct and indirect contributions, as well as withholding tax, applying accounting standards of the United States of America and Mexico

• Liaise with internal and external auditors as needed

• Ensure strict compliance with anti-money laundering reporting and regulatory requirements

• Act as the internal expert and advisor on e-invoicing (CFDIs), guiding other business areas and ensuring compliance with local invoicing laws.

• Support in responding to tax requirements and audits

• Support in the implementation of tax planning

• Provides tax advice to different functions of the company for compliance with tax obligations.

• Follow industry trends, track legislative changes related to taxes, and implement the impact of new laws on tax liabilities

Required qualifications:

• Accounting / Finance / Public Accounting Bachelor’s Degree

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Tax compliance / In-house counsel

• In-depth knowledge of Mexican tax laws, international tax principles, and financial accounting standards (US GAAP and Local)

• Advanced English Level

• Excel ·

• SAP

Preferred qualifications:

• Google Suite, Google Sheets
