About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Risk and Compliance in overseeing the Company's distribution compliance and entity-level risk management framework, including the identification, management, and mitigation of related risks.

As part of the Risk and Compliance team, you will assist in operational risk management, risk committee reporting, incident reporting and analysis and outsourcing function in the Company.

Responsibilities:

Risk Management

  • Work with the business functions to conduct risk assessments on key processes, projects and initiatives.

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing business continuity plans to ensure critical operations can continue and recover effectively during disruptions.

  • Prepare and coordinate materials for quarterly Operational Risk Committee, Board Risk Committee, and Board of Directors meetings, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting of key risk and compliance matters.

  • Provide oversight of outsourcing and third-party arrangements to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

  • Promote and strengthen a strong risk culture across the company by fostering risk awareness, accountability, and adherence to regulatory and internal risk management standards.

Sales and Distribution Compliance

  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure effective management of regulatory risks and compliance with applicable requirements.

  • Review complaints, incidents, investigations, and conduct-related matters to identify root causes, assess control effectiveness, and drive remediation actions.

  • Review third-party product materials and distribution agreements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Provide compliance guidance on market conduct, sales practices, and distribution activities to internal stakeholders and distribution partners.

  • Coordinate and support governance committees, including Fit and Proper and Disciplinary Committees, to ensure effective decision-making and governance oversight.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, or Business)

  • 5–8 years of Risk Management and Market Conduct Compliance experience.

  • Strong understanding of insurance and/or financial services, with in-depth knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and operations.

  • Inquisitive, proactive, and confident in engaging and fronting stakeholders on regulatory and compliance matters.

  • Independent, analytical, and meticulous, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of integrity, ownership, and accountability, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
