The Position: We are looking for a Compliance Specialist, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Compliance Specialist - Facility Operations will work with staff across McKinley programs to ensure regulatory, contractual, licensing, and internal compliance across all McKinley services and Facility-based settings, training records, and reviewing facility camera footage as part of internal investigations and ongoing quality assurance efforts. The Compliance Specialist may also support other McKinley programs with operational and safety compliance needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range we’re offering is $22.00- $27.00 hourly depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or in any other related discipline preferred
  • Strong analytical ability required
  • Prior DMH, CCL, and other regulatory agencies preferred
  • Prior experience in a social Services Agency is preferred
  • Prior experience with SPSS Software preferred
  • Experience working in the behavioral health field, including data collecting and auditing, is preferred
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and other office-related software
  • Very effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including public speaking
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet daily workload requirements and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to work independently and organize multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and staff
  • Able to present the agency professionally and appropriately within all constituencies
  • Sensitivity to the different cultures represented among clients, board members, community partners and agency staff
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to sit for several hours performing clerical functions
  • Ability to commute to various McKinley locations
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift at least 10 pounds (filing & boxes)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine camera reviews to ensure appropriate supervision, client safety, incident review, and compliance with agency standards
  • Perform regular supervision patrols and walkthrough audits of cottages, client rooms, communal areas, and facility spaces to monitor safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance
  • Review and audit vehicle inspection logs and complete physical inspections to ensure maintenance, cleanliness and licensing compliance
  • Conduct audits of employee personnel files for required documentation, including clearances, licensure, and up-to-date credentials (levity)
  • Review training records to ensure all staff are in compliance with initial and ongoing training requirements, including state-mandated and agency-specific courses
  • Monitor documentation practices to ensure timely, complete, and accurate entries in accordance with policy
  • Provide written reports of findings, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to leadership
  • Assist program leadership in preparing for external audits and inspections by licensing, accreditation bodies, and oversight agencies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to follow up on compliance concerns or identified gaps
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) activities
  • Stay up to date on changes in licensing, safety, and operational regulations affecting facility services
  • Provide compliance support to other McKinley programs as needed
  • Other Duties as assigned
