The Utah Labor Commission Industrial Accidents Division is looking for a hardworking team player able to work in a high-volume environment with great communication skills to fill a Compliance Specialist position.
This opening is with our Claims Compliance Team and will be predominantly assisting injured workers, employers, medical providers, attorneys, and insurance adjusters through the workers’ compensation claims process.
This recruitment may also be used to fill vacancies that open within 6 months of the job posting in our Policy Compliance Team primarily focused on the employers’ requirement to provide workers’ compensation insurance for its employees.

This position requires you to work 8 AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday in our offices located in downtown Salt Lake City.
Following the initial 3 month training period, you will be eligible to apply for a hybrid schedule of no less than 3 days on site per week. Additional days on site will be required as needed for coverage, training and/or meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position: In this position, as a Compliance Specialist, you will assist the public in complying with the requirements of the Workers’ Compensation Act, rules and administrative guidelines, including the issuance of penalties with a focus in several of the following specialties: an employer’s requirement in providing insurance for employees, assisting parties through the claim process, workers’ compensation coverage waivers, unlawful interference, employee misclassification, claims reporting, extraterritorial coverage and unlawful payment of benefits. You will provide education focused phone, email, written, and in-person customer service to the general public. The daily duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
