Job Description

Step into the role of Compliance Specialist at a rapidly expanding company

Do you want ownership of compliance work in an organization where quality, collaboration and continuous improvement go hand in hand? Are you motivated by ownership, focused on detail, and adept at offering trusted advisory support to business teams?

We are hiring a Compliance Specialist to cover a one-year maternity leave, with potential to transition into a permanent role. If you enjoy designing, implementing and improving compliance processes and want to play a central role in maturing a global compliance program, this is a great opportunity!

About the role

You will be a core member of the global compliance team and report to the Head of Global Compliance (based in Denmark). You will work closely with Legal, Finance, HR and business units across Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Germany. We’re a small, close‑knit team with a supportive mindset; we collaborate closely, help each other, and enjoy a few good laughs along the way. This is a practical role combining day‑to‑day advisory work, process design, monitoring and training with a clear emphasis on quality, governance and making compliance practical for the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop GlobalConnect’s governance framework, code of conduct and related policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards and internal requirements.
  • Support business units in interpreting and implementing legislation and regulatory requirements in key areas (e.g., GDPR, anti‑bribery/anti‑corruption, and corporate governance).
  • Design, document and improve compliance processes, procedures and controls tailored to business needs.
  • Support the continuous development, implementation and maintenance of the global compliance program.
  • Provide clear, pragmatic advice on ad‑hoc compliance queries from stakeholders at different levels.
  • Plan and deliver training and awareness activities to increase compliance competence across the organization.
  • Prepare documentation and materials for internal and external reviews or audits as needed.

About you

You are structured, pragmatic and enjoy creating clarity where processes or requirements are complex. You like to take responsibility for your work, you communicate clearly, and you build productive working relationships across teams.

We imagine you

  • Hold a relevant master’s degree (e.g., law, commercial law, finance) or equivalent compliance education.
  • 1–3+ years in compliance/governance, or equivalent experience (internships/trainee roles count). We’re also open to strong early‑career candidates, alternatively candidates with longer experience.
  • Can draft and implement policies, processes and governance materials and follow up to ensure they are embedded in the organization.
  • Translate complex legal or regulatory topics into clear, actionable guidance for non‑specialists.
  • Work methodically, accurately and with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism when engaging with stakeholders and decisionmakers.
  • Are fluent in English and in a Scandinavian language (spoken and written).

What we offer

  • A small, supportive team culture with a collaborative mindset, we help each other succeed and enjoy working together.
  • A central role with real ownership and opportunity to contribute to the development of our global compliance program.
  • A collaborative, skilled and supportive network across Scandinavia.
  • A varied role, balancing operational advice, process development and training — where you can clearly see the impact of your work.
  • Professional development and the chance to grow your compliance skill set in a company on a growth journey.

Practical details

  • Fixed‑term position for one year (maternity cover).
  • Location: Denmark (with cross‑Nordic collaboration).
  • Start: as soon as possible / by agreement.

How to apply We look forward to your application. Please submit your CV and a short cover letter explaining why you’re well suited for the role via our career portal.
