Citycare Property will soon partner with the New Zealand Defence Force Facilities Management Services to provide essential facilities, maintenance, and infrastructure services across camps and bases throughout Aotearoa.
Join us in the role of Compliance Service Lead (Building, Environmental & Water), Burnham Military Camp to support the environments that enable NZDF personnel to focus on protecting and serving New Zealand communities.
Burnham Military Camp is the South Island’s largest Army base, located in the Selwyn District, and home to around 1,300 personnel including the 2nd/1st Battalion of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment, logistics and support units, the New Zealand Army Band, and the NZDF Health School.

What You’ll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga
• Leading and motivating your team, ensuring services and obligations are met and align with business strategy and values.
• Overseeing environmental impact assessments to ensure compliance with planning requirements, including water-related matters where applicable.
• Overseeing building and environmental inspections to verify compliance with consent conditions, regulation and quality standards.
• Leading the development and monitoring of environmental and quality assurance schedules, incorporating water compliance activities as required.
• Providing operational oversight, mentoring, and technical guidance to water treatment operators across site.
• Building and maintaining constructive relationships with regulatory authorities, mana whenua, community stakeholders, clients, and contractors.
• Working safety and in compliance with all health & safety, quality and environmental standards and expectations.
What We’re Looking For| Ā Mātou e Rapu Ana:
• Tertiary qualification at Level 2 or above.
• Relevant qualification in environmental science, environmental management, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with, or overseeing compliance with, resource consent conditions.
• Experience with water-related compliance requirements (including Three Waters) on an as-and-when basis.
• Experience with compliance documentation, reports, or audit evidence.
• Absolute alignment with Citycare Property values.
• The legal right to work in Aotearoa, ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and willingness to consent to a Criminal Record Check
• Ability to meet NZDF specific security requirements
