Lendlease Singapore is currently searching for an experienced Compliance Manager (Retail).

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Compliance Policy
    Develop effective controls and policies to meet internal standards and external regulations. Specifically, but not limited to compliance to Council Estate Agent (CEA), Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Singapore Exchange (SGX) regulatory requirements for the business (as applicable).
  • Audit & Monitor
    - Conduct regular assessments and internal audits to flag violations, inconsistences or risks and ensure adherence to policy and authorities’ regulations.
    - Oversee the due diligence process for the business. Specifically on CEA framework on Money Laundering, Proliferation Financing, Terrorism Financing (PMLPFTF Regulations) including the performing of the required screening, review and resolution of cases. Business compliance to PDPC requirements.
    - Ensure all audit and reporting timelines are met
  • Training & Education
    Design and facilitate compliance training sessions for the team and clarify regulations to staff and management.
  • Reporting
    Prepare and deliver compliance reports for senior management and, when necessary, external regulatory bodies.
  • Policies Reviews & Updates
    - Regularly revise procedures, reports and policy documents to capture emerging issues or legislative changes.
    - Keep up to date on industry- specific regulations, industry best practices and legislative.
  • Regulatory Liaison
    Liaise, coordinate and communicate with regulatory bodies, law enforcement and legal teams. Coordinate responses to regulatory investigations and facilitate external audit processes.
  • Incident Response
    Investigate compliance breaches, recommend corrective measures and work with team to prevent recurrence.
  • Appointment:
    - To provide guidance and advice on Personal Data Protection/ Privacy matters and to act as the Company’s official Data Protection Officer.
    - To act as the Compliance Officer required under CEA PMLPFTF Regulations.

To be a success in this role it is desirable, but not essential to have;

  • Relevant qualifications in Business, Risk Management, Finance, Legal and/or a related technical discipline, combined with at least 5 years of post-qualifications relevant experience.
  • Experience in a compliance role and/or knowledge of Singapore properties and retail sectors advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks. Aptitude in implementation of compliance techniques, methodologies and relevant legislations.
  • Good interpersonal, problem solving, technical and analytical skills to support the management and implementation of the risk and compliance operations and to facilitate decision making, manage expectations, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Do note a Real Estate Salesperson (RES) licence registered with The Council Estate Agencies (CEA) is a pre-requisite for consideration for the role.
