Compliance Specialist

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Compliance Manager to join a major infrastructure project environment. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead compliance, governance and assurance activities within a complex, multi-stakeholder delivery model, ensuring obligations are met across construction and operational phases.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will play a critical role in safeguarding contractual integrity, maintaining strong governance frameworks and supporting long-term project performance.

You will work closely with technical, finance and stakeholder teams to ensure seamless coordination of compliance obligations, while providing independent oversight and driving best-practice across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, governance processes, and assurance systems

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual, regulatory and statutory obligations across all project phases

  • Oversee compliance across multiple contract interfaces, ensuring clear accountability and effective coordination

  • Manage audit and assurance activities, including preparation of reporting for senior leadership and governance forums

  • Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and contractual risks to protect project performance and reputation

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in compliance, governance or assurance within major infrastructure, PPP, or project finance environments

  • Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks and multi-party delivery models

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and commercial teams

  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
