Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.
- Ensure Title 31 Compliance; to include thorough auditing of daily Title 31 paperwork, accurate and timely submissions of FinCEN filings, issuance and tracking of departmental exception reports, assistance with facilitation of classroom training, one-on-one training, and test review.
- Ensure the properties Title 31 Program complies with corporate, federal, and state requirements.
- Record retention of all Title 31 documentation as required by the Bank Secrecy Act and Cactus Pete’s Casinos document retention policy.
- Preparation of Bank Secrecy Act documentation for approval and submission.
- Ensure Title 31 investigations for possible Suspicious Activity are completed and documented.
- Record retention of all Suspicious Activity documentation.
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) review investigations according to the AML/Title 31 policy.
- Record retention of all KYC documents.
- Retrieve, audit and maintain computer reports, spreadsheets and Word document files of the Title 31 Audit.
- Title 31 training, including preparation of training manuals and documents, presentation materials.
- Ensure completion of Title 31 training for all departments responsible for compliance with Title 31.
- Preparation of exception reports and maintenance of exception logs.
- Complete monthly disciplinary action / arrest report.
- Ensure weekly mandatory email and mobile phone audit has been completed.
- Complete and file Quarterly Compliance Reporting.
- Complete quarterly system audits of DAPed accounts.
- Complete annual AML Risk Assessments, OFAC Risk Assessments, and FACTA Risk Assessments.
- Complete annual renewals of the 6314B registration.
- Provide KYC information on the property to outside suppliers such as banks.
- Complete special projects assigned by the General Manager and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Complete outside AML training every 2 years.
- Conduct in-house investigations and routine audits.
- Assist Corporate Compliance with the Bi-Annual Related Party Disclosures.
- Research and document inquiries from federal and state regulatory agencies, court systems, and taxing authorities.
- Complete audit and documentation of the Problem Gambling and Underage Gambling Program and the routine assessment of the property’s Responsible Gaming efforts to ensure compliance with the American Gaming Associations Code of Conduct (i.e. placement of brochures, signage, literature), reporting any identified failures to the General Manager.
- Hold Compliance and Responsible Gaming Committee Meetings per the applicable policies and procedures.
- Facilitate Responsible Gaming Education Month.
- Compile and submit Quarterly Responsible Gaming Report.
- Conduct quarterly vendor due diligence.
- Assist with the properties excluded guests by maintaining the master exclusion list and annotating accounts accordingly.
- Ensure bi-annual SOX certifications have been completed.
- Ensure annual Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) credit privacy notices are sent.
- Coordinate audit report responses from management, quarterly compliance reports, and other documentation required by NGCB and/or Corporate.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters related to Cactus Pete’s compliance department, including areas governed by Cactus Pete’s Compliance Program.
- Handle subpoenas for the property.
- Maintain a dialog and positive working relationship with the staff of Nevada Gaming Commission and other regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the operations of Cactus Petes.
- Be the property lead for audits conducted by internal, external, state, and federal auditors.
- Ensure that effective internal controls for Cactus Petes are established and maintained in compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes and regulations.
- Submit annual ICS filing with NGCB audit division.
- Work with property management to develop departmental procedures that are adequate to satisfy requirements of the internal controls.
- Participate as a member of the property Executive Committee.
- Conduct new leader compliance orientation.
- Facilitate the registration renewal process for the properties fleet of vehicles.
- Maintain records of the properties licenses and permits.
- Complete annual business license and list of managers or members with NV Secretary of State.
- Renew annual tobacco licenses with the NV Dept. of Taxation – Tobacco Enforcement.
- Assist Director of Security/Surveillance with the annual surveillance plan submission to the NGCB for CP&HS.
- Submit annual NGC Reg. 6.060 branch offices/independent agents’ letter to the NGCB.

- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting, business or related field from four-year college or university; five or more years’ experience as a Compliance Manager in the casino industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook). And able to learn new computer software quickly and completely.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and SOPs.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Demonstrated intermediate level of competence in the areas of ambition, customer service, engagement, leadership, business reasoning, and emotional intelligence.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
