Job Description

GemLife is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Compliance Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the Group meets its corporate, regulatory and governance obligations as an ASX300-listed organisation.

Working closely with senior executives, the Company Secretary and external stakeholders, you will lead compliance across the business, oversee Managed Investment Schemes (MIS), and provide practical legal and regulatory advice that supports strategic decision-making.

Some of the Key Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with ASIC, ASX Listing Rules, Corporations Act and other regulatory requirements
• Oversee governance and compliance obligations across Managed Investment Schemes
• Act as the primary liaison with the external Responsible Entity
• Provide legal and regulatory advice to the Executive and broader business
• Support the Company Secretary with Board and governance requirements
• Develop and enhance compliance frameworks, policies, and processes
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement required changes
• Build internal compliance capability, including supporting an internal AFSL framework
• Lead and mentor legal and compliance team members

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an in-house Compliance Manager within an ASX-listed business
• Strong knowledge of Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, ASIC requirements, AML/CTF and MIS governance
• Legal qualifications (LLB or equivalent) preferred
• Experience working with Responsible Entities and/or AFSL frameworks (highly desirable)
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to interpret complex regulation and provide clear, practical advice
• A pragmatic approach to the commercial and construction legal landscape
• Experience working within an ASX-listed company experience is essential

Additional Requirements

• This is a fast-paced and high impact role, requiring the ability to adapt quickly and manage changing priorities
• Infrequent travel between GemLife resort locations may be required in this position
