The mission of the LSLBC is to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the public dealing with those engaged in the contracting vocation; to afford such persons an effective and practical protection against the unlawful and fraudulent acts of contractors with whom they contract; and to maintain the integrity of the construction industry. Further, the Board shall monitor construction projects to ensure compliance with the licensure requirements of the statutes.
Under the direct supervision of a Compliance Investigator Supervisor, the Deputy Executive Director of Enforcement or the Executive Director, this position independently investigates alleged violations of Louisiana’s Contractors’ Licensing Law and monitors construction activity statewide to ensure contractors comply with all relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. It blends investigative research, field compliance monitoring, background checks, public education, and formal reporting. The role supports enforcement actions, prepares court-ready documentation, and may testify in administrative or judicial proceedings.
