Compliance Inspector

The Compliance Inspector plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction in the context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary with designated communities and may include, but are not limited to: Inspecting properties for maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings. This role also may administer architectural review process.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and electronically.

· Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity of complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.

· Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.

· Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.

· Receive owner architectural submittals.

· Review submittals for accuracy in accordance to the association architectural guidelines.

· Attend the architectural review meeting with the community manager.

· Follow up with any committee direction.

· Complete the meeting minutes and owner letters.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

· Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.

· Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)

· Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.

· Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.

· Knowledge of architectural plans and/or drawings at a proficient level.

· Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.

· Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).

· Professional customer service skills.

· Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.

· Time management and time critical prioritization skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or GED Required

· Associates Degree Preferred

· 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience

Licenses and Certifications

· Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to provide proof of a valid driver’s license and appropriate vehicle insurance.

Working Conditions

· Typical office environment, occasional outside environment exposure while conducting compliance inspection.
