Job Description

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, resourceful AI Architect to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions that change how our Compliance function operates. This role sits within our Compliance Digital Transformation team and is responsible for delivering working solutions that solve real operational problems by matching the right AI capabilities to business challenges - quickly, pragmatically, and at enterprise scale.

The ideal candidate understands that the future of compliance work is hybrid – humans and AI agents working together – and has the instincts to design, build, and govern that future. They have already deployed agentic AI solutions in a large, global organization after identifying a problem, prototyping rapidly, building the solution, and driving adoption through to value realization. They combine builder instincts with business understanding to independently engage Compliance stakeholders, diagnose their problems, and translate those into functioning, defensible solutions. They also coach Compliance teams on directing and governing hybrid human/agent workflows while connecting dots across the portfolio to ensure solutions scale and compound. This is a hands-on, high-output role offering the opportunity to shape how a global Compliance function works with AI – building solutions, coaching teams through a transformation, and helping define how modern compliance works.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Agentic AI Solutions

  • Design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions that solve real Compliance problems across domains including monitoring, third-party risk management, trade controls, and open reporting/investigations.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-powered workflows using internal AI tools, commercial LLMs, and orchestration tools, matching solution robustness to realistic lifecycle expectations given the pace of change with the technology.
  • Connect the dots across internal tools, platforms, and stakeholder needs to pull together integrated solutions that don't require outsized time or investment.
  • Collaborate with professional services partners on larger strategic initiatives, translating compliance context and ensuring solutions fit how the function operates.

Coaching & Governance

  • Coach Compliance teams on working effectively with AI agents - building confidence and fluency in directing hybrid human/agent workflows.
  • Establish function-specific governance practices for AI agents ensuring solutions are defensible, transparent, auditable, and aligned with enterprise AI standards.
  • Enable Compliance professionals to build and govern their own AI solutions over time, scaling capabilities.
  • Serve as a credible internal voice on what AI can and cannot do - grounded in hands-on experience, not theory.

Portfolio Integration

  • Connect dots across the Compliance Digital Transformation portfolio – spotting patterns, reusing solutions across domains, and ensuring individual wins compound into enterprise capability.
  • Surface insights from smaller projects that inform larger strategic investments.
  • Maintain awareness of the rapidly evolving AI landscape to ensure solutions reflect current best practices and anticipate near-term capability shifts.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to understand problem statements deeply, translate pain points into buildable solutions, and validate outcomes alongside the people who use them.
  • Work primarily with mid-level Compliance professionals; collaborate with senior team members for executive-level engagements while building independent credibility with functional partners.
  • Iterate based on real feedback, observed adoption, and value generation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Law, Data Science, AI/Machine Learning, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in compliance, risk, audit, legal operations, analytics, or a related function, with demonstrated experience building and deploying AI or automation solutions in a complex, global environment.
  • Proficiency with commercial LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and comfort learning new AI tools quickly.
  • Working knowledge of workflow automation or agent orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, Power Automate, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, or model risk management practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver at speed without heavy oversight.
  • Experience in change management, process improvement, or operational integration work.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other scripting/query languages.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI/visualization tools.
  • Experience coaching or training others on technology adoption.
  • Experience working with external consultants or professional services teams on technology delivery.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Builder mentality - biased toward creating functioning solutions over theoretical planning.
  • Pragmatic problem solver who matches solution complexity to the problem's lifecycle and business value.
  • Creative and innovative thinker who challenges assumptions before accepting constraints.
  • Strong understanding of real-world operations and processes - designs solutions that work within how people do their jobs, not how processes are documented.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration; treats bounded experimentation as progress.
  • Enterprise mindset - designs scalable, reusable solutions rather than one-off outputs.
  • Coaching orientation - gets energy from guiding and enabling others.
  • Connector mindset - sees the portfolio, spots duplication, reuses patterns.
  • Collaborative and adaptable while driving accelerated outcomes across technical and non-technical audiences
  • High ownership and accountability; follows through without heavy oversight.
