As a nimble and growing oil and gas company, we’re looking for a results driven Compliance Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex production challenges improving operational efficiency, and assuring compliance of regulations, while working collaboratively with regulatory, field operations, and cross functional teams. The Compliance Engineer will support day to day compliance of well production, bradenhead compliance, well plugging and abandonment, and support of integrity management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage compliance of production and underground injection well bradenhead requirements, including annual testing, and daily and monthly monitoring
- Analyze daily production and monthly bradenhead data to identify potential integrity concerns and recommend corrective actions, including plugging and abandonment
- Oversee wellbore integrity failure reduction initiatives through root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and reliability engineering
- Project manage engineered and compliant solutions from budgeting and design, through field handover and post project appraisal
- Coordinate with state and federal agencies and regulatory staff to ensure regulatory filings and operational plans are compliant with rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline
- 5-7+ years of experience in production or petroleum engineering
- Strong technical expertise in workovers, slickline, and production optimization programs
- Experience working with state and federal agencies, and knowledge of regulations
- Working knowledge of gas lift, HPGL, and GAPL/PAGL systems
- Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and manage complex projects
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Preferred

Qualifications:
- Experience with bradenhead and wellbore integrity compliance
- Experience with WellView, OpenWells, or equivalent well management software
- Experience with cost modeling, systems optimization, and root cause failure analysis
- Experience working with Colorado state and federal regulatory agencies
