Compliance Officer

We’re on the hunt for a passionate Compliance Officer who thrives on creating safe, compliant, and positive workplaces. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind our Food Safety, Health & Safety and price integrity initiatives—ensuring our store not only meets legislative requirements but sets the standard for excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Champion health & safety systems and keep them running smoothly
• Own the Food Control Plan and ensure compliance with FSSI and external standards
• Inspire, induct and train staff, merchandisers, and contractors in best safety practices
• Ensure price integrity
• Keep accurate records and provide timely updates to managers and owners
• Promote a strong safety culture and a positive, supportive work environment

Your key accountabilities will include

• Completing store audits for both Food Safety and Health and Safety and assisting departments with making improvements where necessary, and ensuring a pass at every audit and maintaining the same standards every day.
• Completing training individually and of the team when required
• Assisting with the rollout and implementation of all Food and Health and Safety and other programmes as prescribed by Foodstuffs, MPI and / or the relevant agencies.
• Monitoring the efficiency, effectiveness and integrity of established systems in relation to food safety in the store in terms of understanding the requirements and implementing as required
• Ensure price integrity across our store including Point Of Sale updates.
• Ensuring that our team members maintain the required standards at all times.

This is a full-time permanent role reporting directly to the People & Capability Manager. Remuneration for this role will be between $27.00 – 32.00 per hour with minimum guaranteed hours being 30 per week.
