Contract Type: 12 Months FTC

Job Title: Compliance Consultant (AFC)

Benefits: €48,000 – 55,000 base salary, 10% Non-Contributory Pension (matched up to a further 2%), Funded Industry Qualifications, Benefit Allowance, Hybrid working .

We offer salaries within the stated pay range. Typically, new hires start at the lower end of the range, though recognition of relevant experience and prior service may result in a higher starting salary.

The role-

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our Compliance team as an Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Analyst on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will support and work closely with the Head of Compliance / Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and the Deputy MLCO to ensure that Standard Life operates in compliance with its regulatory and legal obligations.

This role will report to the Deputy MLCO and will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to lead key deliverables within the Compliance Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist management in developing and maintaining robust regulatory processes and procedures in line with the requirements of the EU AML Regulation and local regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake compliance monitoring across all business areas, with a particular focus on compliance with anti-financial crime requirements.
  • Provide compliance advice and support to all areas of the business, covering day-to-day queries, corporate projects, and business initiatives.
  • Assess potential compliance breaches and risks, recommend appropriate remedial actions, and work with business areas to ensure that all issues are adequately resolved.
  • Analyse regulatory developments and communicate relevant changes to the appropriate business areas.
  • Assist in the production of management information and regulatory reports for senior management and members of the local Executive Committee.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other business areas to support a strong compliance culture and framework.
  • This role has been identified as CF 2 under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness & Probity regime. The successful candidate will be required to comply with the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity Standards on an ongoing basis.
