HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Compliance & Classification Manager is responsible for leading the U.S. Compliance and Classification consulting practice for a key client by driving growth and efficiency through tools, automation, and process improvement while ensuring compliance with import rules and regulations.

This is a remote position based in the United States for candidates from certain states.

EXPECTATIONS

• Monitor regulatory changes and update department policies and business processes
• Partner with senior management on new business opportunities and regulatory impact
• Identify customer opportunities across HS classification, FTAs, duty drawback, and audits
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives partnering with IT to automate department processes
• Analyze data and create detailed reports and documentation
• Deliver client seminars, workshops, and presentations on customs and trade issues
• Develop account setup procedures with Operations to ensure compliance with CBP regulations
• Manage complex consulting engagements to deliver customer satisfaction
• Establish customer service policies to ensure consistency and quality
• Lead and develop the Compliance and Consulting team building best in class practices

ESSENTIALS

• Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB) required, CCS or CES a plus
• Bachelor's degree required
• 10+ years of progressive experience in compliance and consulting roles
• Strong technical knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedules, Explanatory Notes, and rules of origin
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access with data manipulation skills
• Proven ability to sell, deliver, and lead consulting engagements
• Demonstrated team leadership and ability to manage all aspects of 10+ employees
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to travel as needed
