As Compliance Associate, Asset Management, you will support Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) compliance across Invenergy’s operating portfolio by providing process oversight, document control, auditing, and reporting support through the Operations project management system. This role will focus heavily on information integrity and process discipline, ensuring that system workflows are followed through to completion, compliance documentation is accurate and complete, and reporting is reliable for both internal and external stakeholders.
The Associate will partner closely with Asset Managers, Operations, vendors, internal teams, and external customers to support compliance initiatives, identify process gaps, and help drive continuous improvement across PWA-related processes.
Responsibilities
Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship Compliance: Support and oversee compliance with prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements in alignment with federal and state regulations. Ensure proper documentation, tracking, and reporting of PWA-related activities across applicable projects. Follow up with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and complete compliance documentation.
Document Control: Implement and manage document control processes to ensure accuracy, organization, and accessibility of compliance-related documents.
Process and Report Auditing: Work with external consultants to conduct routine audits of contractor documentation to ensure compliance with contractual, federal, and state obligations. Audit internal processes to identify compliance gaps, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities. Review and audit compliance and project reports for accuracy and completeness. Create, generate, and analyze reports, identify trends or potential issues, and propose solutions to Asset Managers and Operations leadership.
Stakeholder Support and Coordination: Respond to routine inquiries and issues related to compliance, documentation, or reporting. Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Provide guidance, training, and support to internal teams on PWA compliance requirements and best practices. Promote effective communication and coordination across Asset Management, Operations, Procurement, Payroll, and other departments.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist Asset Management with administrative and project support tasks, as assigned. Support key initiatives and process improvement efforts related to PWA compliance and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in project management, data analysis, accounting, or related discipline.
3+ years of experience in project accounting, project management, compliance or related functions.
Experience monitoring project risks, trends, and potential deviations, and working cross-functionally to recommend mitigation actions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow processes independently, and drive work to completion with minimal direction.
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in document control and/or auditing.
Experience coordinating projects involving multiple vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders.
Familiarity with project management systems and compliance reporting environments.
Base Pay
$ 90,000.00 - $108,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
