The purpose of this job

Bupa’s Risk & Compliance division have an opening for a Compliance Analyst to play a key role in actively assessing and managing compliance breaches, incidents and exceptions to strengthen the risk and compliance culture of the Health Insurance business.

This role goes beyond traditional compliance, offering exposure to compliance-adjacent initiatives that help the business embed and implement strong compliance practices. Working closely with stakeholders across the health insurance sector, you'll leverage your experience in breach assessments, obligation management, and incident notification processes to provide practical guidance and support in an APRA regulated business.

As a valued team member (2LoD), the Compliance Analyst will work closely with the broader Risk & Compliance teams to support the implementation of compliance frameworks, managing regulatory changes, monitor and deliver risk and compliance reporting and improve the quality of compliance data in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system for the Health Insurance business.

This hybrid position is offered as permanent, full time and may be based from Bupa’s Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney offices.

What you’ll need to make it possible:

We anticipate you’ll bring 1-3 years professional hands-on risk or compliance experience. It’s preferrable your experience has been gained within a regulated setting. You’ll thrive when collaborating with your team, creating positive relationships as a trusted and respected Compliance Analyst.

In addition, you’ll bring to the role:

  • Developed understanding of risk management and broader governance, risk, and compliance frameworks with an understanding of Australian regulatory environment.
  • Experience working as an Analyst within compliance, quality, incident management, or process improvement.
  • Experience in preparing reporting and insights to assist the business strategy and decision making.
  • Strong analytical skills to convert information / data into meaningful management information.
  • A curious mind with a consultative approach to relationship management and agility to prioritise workloads to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Risk and Compliance Management, Law or Business.
