Job Description

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Advisor to join our Power Projects team within Energy and Utilities. Reporting to the Head of Quality, Governance and Support Services, this role plays a critical part in supporting training compliance, competency management, apprenticeship programs, and plant risk management systems across the business. 
 
As the Compliance Advisor, you will work closely with operational teams, leaders, clients, Registered Training Organisations, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure workforce competency requirements are maintained,, and compliance obligations are met. 
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating training delivery and liaising with Registered Training Organisations
  • Managing training bookings, schedules, venues, and resources
  • Supporting induction and training program implementation
  • Conducting Training Needs Analysis activities and maintaining competency requirements
  • Administering competency management systems and employee profiles
  • Monitoring compliance, licences, qualifications, and certification expiry dates
  • Preparing training and compliance reports for business stakeholders
  • Supporting ongoing workforce capability and compliance initiatives across Power Projects 

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Previous experience in a similar compliance, training, competency, or workforce administration role
  • Strong understanding of training records management, compliance monitoring, and auditing processes
  • Experience developing and maintaining competency or skills matrices
  • Experience working within large, diverse organisations
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong planning and organisational capability
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Solutions focused approach and adaptability in a changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with plant management systems or competency management systems will be highly regarded
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
