About the Role:

As a Bunnings Complex Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing daily operations, sales and high‑volume stock management within your store.

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will lead a team of 120+ team members, ensuring a highly efficient, organised operation and delivering an exceptional experience for our loyal customers and internal sales teams. You will be supported by experienced Operations Managers, Department Managers, Supervisors, Team Members and Forklift Drivers, while also collaborating with local stores and Trade Centres to drive success across the wider region.

Within your leadership team, you will have experienced Operations and Department Managers across areas such as Goods Inwards, Service, Inside the Home, Timber Yard, Builders and Lifestyles & Garden. While deep expertise in all departments is not essential, an interest in DIY or the building industry will set you up for success.

This is a significant leadership opportunity within a large format warehouse, offering high‑impact operational accountability across a complex, high‑volume environment. Your role will help shape the future of Bunnings in the Mildura community by developing local strategies and business plans that support long‑term growth.

You will play a key role in monitoring customer experience, driving commercial outcomes, and partnering with Commercial Sales, Distribution Centres, Fulfilment Centres and the Support Office to optimise stock, sales capability, safety and operational performance.

This role includes a minimum 1 in 3 weekend roster and some public holiday work.

Why Mildura?

Enjoy the benefits of a regional lifestyle while leading a high‑impact business:

  • Affordable cost of living compared to metropolitan areas

  • Strong sense of community and local connection

  • Access to outdoor lifestyle, wineries, and the Murray River region

  • A great opportunity to combine career growth with lifestyle balance

What’s involved:

  • Lead a large‑scale, high‑volume operation with full accountability for performance, safety and team engagement

  • Foster a high‑performing leadership team through coaching, alignment and ongoing performance conversations

  • Build a strong culture of recognition, accountability and development to drive engagement and retention

  • Drive warehouse EBIT performance across sales growth, margin optimisation, wage control and cost management

  • Identify and implement commercial opportunities to drive sales and business growth

  • Maintain strong stock loss performance through shrink reduction, accurate stocktakes and inventory integrity

  • Champion safety and wellbeing through proactive leadership, compliance and injury management

  • Engage with the local community and identify opportunities for community partnerships and events

Who we're looking for:

As a Complex Manager, you are a highly driven and capable leader with strong influencing skills and a proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in fast‑paced environments. You bring a strong focus on safety, team development and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll need:

  • Proven experience leading large, diverse teams (100+) in high‑volume operations

  • Retail or large customer‑focused operational leadership experience

  • Strong capability in building and leading high‑performing leadership teams

  • Demonstrated ownership of EBIT, delivering sales growth, margin and cost control

  • Strong safety leadership, including compliance, engagement and injury management

  • Ability to identify and execute opportunities that drive commercial growth

  • Experience in stock management, including shrink reduction and inventory integrity

What’s on offer:

  • Fully funded relocation support to help make your move to Mildura seamless

  • Incentive opportunities aligned to role scope and performance (where applicable)

  • The opportunity to lead a large‑scale, complex operation with significant scope and impact

  • A leadership role where you can shape team capability, culture and long‑term business success

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
