Aspen Careers is partnering with a well-established national law firm with a strong Ohio presence to identify a Litigation Associate for its Columbus office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2–5 years of litigation experience who wants to strengthen their courtroom skills, work on sophisticated disputes, and learn from experienced litigators.

The practice includes a significant amount of energy litigation, but prior energy experience is not required. The firm is interested in strong litigators who are eager to learn, take on responsibility, and continue developing as courtroom attorneys.

The Ideal Candidate

• 2–5 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in commercial, business, complex civil, energy, or another sophisticated litigation practice.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience drafting motions, briefs, discovery, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Genuine interest in appearing in court and developing stronger trial skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
• Deposition, hearing, small-claims, or trial experience is beneficial but not required.
• Prior energy litigation experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong interest in litigation and a willingness to learn new industries and technical areas.
