The core responsibilities of the job are as follows

  • Event planning, organizing and execution
  • Collaboration with clients to finalize details
  • Providing seamless experience of service
  • Supervision of catering staff
  • Motivation of and scheduling of banquet employees
  • Managing budgets, controlling costs, and monitoring inventory
  • Daily posting of events through PMS system
  • Completing reports and maintaining an accurate forecast over 30-60-90 days
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Resolve complaints and handle all meeting room inquiries
  • Oversee events and supervise the operations to ensure smooth execution
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Food Handlers certification

The Complex Catering Manager is a new role and is an exciting opportunity for the right person. In addition to the core responsibilities, you will be required to:

  • develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • maintain relationships with existing clients and identify new clients.
  • create marketing to promote the spaces
  • monitor market trends and competitor activities
  • prepare and manage catering budgets, ensuring profitability
  • track sales activities and maintain detailed records of client interactions
  • collaboration with other departments
  • attend networking and industry events

Please note that this is not a Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5 pm position. Flexibility is crucial to the role. A company incentive program is part of this position and is paid quarterly and also annually based on revenue performance.

Previous experience with Delphi, Hotel Key, and Fosse are definite assets.
