Completions – Electrical Nominee-269189

UGL are seeking an experienced Electrical Nominee to join our CO2 Project team working on a major construction project located on Barrow Island.

This critical role will be responsible for managing electrical certification, compliance, completion documentation and statutory sign-off activities associated with Mechanical Completion, energisation and project handover. Working closely with Construction, QA/QC, Completions and Client teams, you will play a key role in ensuring all electrical systems are certified, compliant and ready for final turnover.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and governance across electrical certification activities while ensuring all regulatory, project and client requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the nominated electrical representative for project completion and statutory certification requirements.
  • Prepare, review and sign Preliminary Notices and Notices of Completion in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Review, verify and approve electrical certification documentation associated with Mechanical Completion and project handover.
  • Maintain and manage the electronic record of all electrical installation work.
  • Ensure all Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) and supporting documentation are completed, reviewed and compiled prior to certification.
  • Liaise with Electrical Supervisors, Electricians, QA/QC personnel, Completions teams and Project Management to ensure documentation priorities align with project completion schedules.
  • Monitor completion status of electrical systems and subsystems to facilitate progression through Mechanical Completion and turnover milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, electrical regulations and project specifications.
  • Support audits, reviews and client documentation assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies that may impact Mechanical Completion, energisation activities or project handover.
  • Support project completion, commissioning and turnover teams to ensure seamless delivery of certification packages and regulatory documentation.

About you:

  • Current WA Electrical Licence.
  • Current registration as a WA Electrical Nominee.
  • Demonstrated experience within Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, Industrial or Major Infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Handover processes.
  • Proven experience reviewing, approving and signing electrical certification documentation.
  • Experience managing Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), completion dossiers and turnover packages.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, standards and compliance documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple project disciplines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and document control capability.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian electrical regulations, standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to operate independently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
