Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Competitive Performance Coordinator through April 13th, 2026, 11:59 PM.

The Competitive Performance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operational execution of Competitive Performance initiatives across Empresas Mixtas & HQ.

The role supports Venezuela’s performance improvement agenda by coordinating project workflows, ensuring disciplined execution, and maintaining high‑quality information in performance systems. The role brings structure to improvement initiatives by managing project milestones, facilitating working sessions, preparing performance reviews, and supporting leadership decision‑making. It also strengthens organizational capability by promoting direct, decisive, accountable, and results‑focused behaviors and helping teams adopt core competitive performance practices.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

1. Workflow Coordination & Governance
Coordinate improvement projects from idea to execution, ensuring clear project definition, ownership, and milestone plans.
Maintain accurate initiative information (milestones, status, deliverables) in performance tracking tools.

2. Project Management & Facilitation
Lead workshops and working sessions to develop project ideas, business case inputs, and milestone plans.
Track timelines and risks, escalate barriers, and drive follow‑up actions.

3. Support for Partner Organizations
Enter and update project information for Empresas Mixtas that do not have system access.
Ensure their project status and details are consistently reflected in internal systems.

4. Performance Review Enablement
Prepare project summaries, milestone progress, KPI impacts, and risk updates for performance review meetings.
Co‑facilitate structured review sessions, using validated data.

5. Performance Behaviors & Capability Building
Promote direct, decisive, accountable, and results‑focused behaviors across teams.
Support capability‑building sessions to strengthen understanding of improvement practices and execution discipline.
Help ensure consistent application of the organization’s performance improvement framework across Venezuela.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field.
2. 5–10 years of experience coordinating cross‑functional projects or operational improvements.
3. Availability to travel frequently within the country
4. Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) to interpret tools, documentation, and global materials.
5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and active‑listening skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams, cultures, and partner organizations, adapt communication styles, and constructively manage differing viewpoints.
6. Experience applying structured project and execution methodologies (stage‑gate, Lean/Six Sigma, Agile/Kanban, A3) to deliver cross‑functional initiatives, translate strategy into executable plans, and support disciplined decision‑making and change adoption.
7. Proven ability to drive accountability and follow‑through across teams. Experience creating and tracking project milestones, timelines, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience coordinating performance review meetings or operational forums.
Experience working with joint‑venture or partner organizations.
Training or certification in project management or process improvement.
Technical background within the oil and gas industry
