Job Description

We are looking for a tech-savvy, curious, and dynamic Competitive Intelligence Expert (m/f/d) to generate trailblazing insights for INNIO at the intersection of competitive strategy, product strategy, and capital market strategy. This is a high-impact position that converts technical expertise into capital market narrative and translates market signals back into meaningful input into competitive positioning and product strategy.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Incumbent competitors: monitor core & adjacent competitor actions (project wins, product launches, M&A activities, partnerships, go-to-market shifts across geographies, market entries, pricing signals, etc.) and derive tangible insights ("so-what"s) for INNIO, integrate internal and external intelligence into one holistic picture that helps understand our competive position today & how it might evolve in the future
  • Emerging market player: monitor new market players in competing & supplementing technologies, monitor development of competing technologies and access our competitive position against it, identify areas for tech partnerships in close collaboration with technical departments, screen evaluate potential tech partners
  • Competitive pricing insights: analyse product bundling, solution offering, commerical and pricing strategies of competitors, and derive recommendations for INNIO's competitive pricing positioning
  • Capital market intelligence: monitore & analyze competitor earnings calls, quarterly reports, investor days for strategic signals, track equity research and analyst notes on peers and on our market and derive implications for INNIO
  • Partner with investor relations: act as standing point of contact between investor relations and technical departments, collaborate on preparing capital market facing communication - ensure production and market sections are technically accurate and investor-accessible, help to shape capital market perception of INNIO
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s/Master degree in engineering or economics
  • 3-5 years experience in competitive intelligence, product management, or engineering
  • Technical understanding and mind-set are a must - knowledge about the gas engine power generation market is appreciated
  • Experience with capital markets is a plus
  • Very good communication skills: ability to translate complex topics into easily digestible key insights
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional organization in geographically diverse businesses
  • Fluent in English, additional language a plus
  • Willingness to travel to various fairs or events worldwide but with focus on Europe (approx. 10% - 20% of working time)
  • Work location is Jenbach, Tirol
