Purpose

  • As Competency Assurance Standard Lead in R3, you are responsible for the timely implementation and management of the Competence Assurance Standard Operating Unit during the construction phase up until first oil.
  • As Competency Assurance Standard Lead in R1 and R2 you are responsible to maintain the Competence Assurance Standard Operating Unit during the Operations phase through decomissioning.

Responsibilities

In R3:

  • You ensure that the assigned personnel possess the required behaviours, knowledge and skills during the Operations Readiness phase to execute their offshore roles effectively, contributing to the safe and efficient Start-Up of the FPSO.
  • You lever digital tools and methodologies to execute, monitor and implement the Project Competence Assessment Program.
  • You oversee the Region 3 Fleet Instructors while they are assigned to your unit You oversee in collaboration with the Line Manager the Fleet Training Analyst while assigned to your unit.
  • You prepare weekly reports to monitor the progress, ensuring milestone achievements are reached before sail away and before first oil.

In R1 and R2:

  • You ensure that the assigned personnel possess the required behaviours, knowledge and skills during the Operations phase to execute their offshore roles effectively, contributing to the safe and efficient operations of the FPSO.
  • You lever digital tools and methodologies to maintain the Competence Assessment Program above its KPI Target
  • You oversee the Fleet Instructors rotation in your region and plan their unit visit in line with operational needs.
  • You manage any Operator Training Simulators in your region to ensure effective utilization in coordination with the Training Lead.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (offshore core crew role).
    Master's degree is a plus.
    STCW COC as Chief Engineer or Master Mariner may serve as alternative

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of offshore experience (with some experience as instructor/assessor).
    Proven track record of implementing or executing competency assessment programs, preferably in a digitalized environment.
    Familiarity with competency frameworks, industry standards, and regulations.
