Responsibilities

Conduct market pricing for new and existing roles using salary surveys and benchmarking tools.• Evaluate job descriptions for leveling• Assign grades and job codes within established frameworks Supports maintenance and updating compensation models, salary structures, and pay ranges.• Research market data sources• Participates in industry and regional surveys• Analyzes, and compares current and new compensation plans or programs offered by demographically comparable organizations and makes recommendations to ensure plan competitiveness.

Supports Compensation Program Administration.• Assist with annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and equity processes.• Prepare recommendations for hiring, salary adjustments, promotions, and off-cycle compensation requests.• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory pay requirements. Assists with accurate and timely review and delivery of annual employer pension contributions and employee 403(b) payroll contribution information in coordination with HRIS (Human Resource Information System) Team members, deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.

  • Audits payroll deductions and monitors participant limitsCompletes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Administers employee retirement programs including MJHS Pension (401(a)) and Retirement Savings Plan (403(b)) by verifying information and preparing forms for approval for the plan administrator.• Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to retirement benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
  • Collaborates with essential team members and the independent auditors process for the successful and timely annual 5500 completion.Monitors administrative documents and reports to ensure the organization’s compliance with plan requirements including compliance with the applicable provisions of ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act).
  • Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable retirement benefits and compensation scales and structures.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and retirement benefits administration.
  • Collaborates with other members of the Talent, Rewards & HRIS team as needed to ensure communication and smooth workflow across the team.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related required.

• 2 years of experience with Compensation required; 1-2 years of experience with Retirement programs preferred.• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.• Infor Global HR or other HRIS system usage• Previous experience working with Auditors.• Previous experience with 5500 processes.• Excellent verbal, written communication and follow up skills. • Knowledge of employee compensation and retirement programs.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.• Knowledge of ERISA requirements.• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
