Job Description

The Manager, Compensation is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that support business objectives. This role partners closely with HR and leadership to ensure pay practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant. It plays a key role in driving total rewards strategy and supporting organization-wide compensation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate market trends and competitive practices; recommend compensation strategies based on insights
  • Conduct benchmark analyses to ensure salary and incentive programs remain competitive
  • Participate in and analyze third-party compensation surveys
  • Assess roles within job architecture to ensure proper leveling and alignment
  • Support the design and implementation of incentive and bonus programs
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide compensation guidance
  • Lead annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, bonuses, promotions, and adjustments
  • Monitor pay equity and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and Talent Acquisition teams
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA and pay transparency requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation programs
  • Strong knowledge of salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and incentive structures
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Legal
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation
