Job Description

Associate, Compensation Management & Accounting

The Associate, Compensation Management & Accounting sits within HR and will support the HR Compensation Management team with a strong focus on partnering with Accounting, Finance, Payroll, and external providers to ensure complete, accurate, and timely recording of compensation-related transactions, compliance with applicable accounting guidance, and strong support for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for compensation, bonus, commission, and benefits.

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules for compensation-related balances.

  • Partner with Payroll and HR to validate employee compensation data, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Support internal and external audit requests by organizing documentation and explaining accounting support for key balances and processes.

  • Contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and documentation for compensation accounting workflows.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and third-party administrators to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects to support the broader controllership and finance organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of accounting, compensation accounting, payroll accounting, or financial reporting experience.

  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and close processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with Workday, equity and compensation administration systems.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.

The expected base salary ranges from $90,000.00. - $110,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
