Job Description

Position Title: Compensation and Benefits Analyst Position Code: CompBenAnalyst-8015

Position Purpose:

This hybrid role provides analytical and operational support across two core functions: acting as a technical assistant to the Lead Benefits Analyst for system integrations, reconciliations, and benefit operations, while serving as a junior compensation analyst supporting the Senior Compensation Analyst on market benchmarking, salary structures, and compensation program administration.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation

  • Supports compensation analysis, salary surveys, benchmarking, and market trend reporting.
  • Supports salary reviews, reorganizations, incentive plans, and compensation projects.
  • Compiles workforce metrics and turnover reports for organizational reporting.
  • Tracks approved position changes, creates new positions in HRIS, and communicates updates to HRBPs, Recruiters, and HRIS.
  • Processes and audits pay, status, and bonus changes in HRIS.
  • Supports job analysis, job description development, FLSA reviews, and routine compensation inquiries.

Benefits

  • Assists with benefit administration activities, including payroll deduction reconciliations, enrollment files, billing audits, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Coordinates with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve eligibility, enrollment, billing, and file feed issues.
  • Supports retirement administration, ACA compliance, 1095-C preparation, and audits.
  • Assists with Form 5500 preparation, annual reporting requirements, and open enrollment activities.

Core

  • Partners with internal teams and vendors to support HRIS implementations, system integrations, data feeds, and ongoing enhancements within Oracle Cloud HCM and UKG.
  • Collaborates with HRIS and Payroll to ensure accurate processing and communication of compensation and benefit changes.
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of department and organization.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four (4) years of qualifying experience in lieu of both degree and experience.

Experience: Two (2) years of analytical experience in HR, compensation, benefits, finance, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of federal and state laws related to compensation and benefits administration.
  • Advanced Excel skills for analyzing and maintaining large datasets and reports.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical data presentation.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities through strong organization and time management.

Preferences

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, HR Administration or related field.

Experience:

  • Healthcare or hospital environment experience.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle Cloud HCM and UKG Time and Attendance.

Certification: CCP, SHRM or HRCI certification(s).

License: N/A
