Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting in the monitoring of compensation trends in the labor market and recommending modifications to current compensation programs to meet Phoebe's objectives and needs.

This position is responsible for assisting in the daily activities related to the administration of the job evaluation, positional descriptions and salary administration programs for staff and lower-level management positions. This position is responsible for assisting in the monitoring of compensation trends in the labor market and recommending modifications to current compensation programs to meet Phoebe's objectives and needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or other related field (Required)

Work Experience

3 years+ HR Experience that can include: compensation, recruitment with emphasis on calculating salary offers, data entry, data analysis, and trending (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI (Preferred)

Essential Functions

  • Conducts job audits and coordinates the development of position descriptions.
  • Conducts job audits for staff and management positions and makes recommendations on pay range adjustments, hiring rates, and individual adjustments and analyzes the cost impact of such changes.
  • Participates in the development of position descriptions and ensures that positional descriptions are compliant with ADA, FLSA, etc.
  • Assists in the coordination of the daily activities related to the administration of the organizational compensation processes, practices and protocols and assist in monitoring competitive trends in cash compensation and identifies the impact on the organization's position.
  • Prepares data and participates in various compensation surveys.
  • Conducts or oversee special surveys to gather data on specific issue areas as required.
  • Participates in the development of compensation policies and procedures.
  • Assists in administering any special compensation plans.
  • Makes recommendations to department leadership of issues arising that may require treatment as an exception or modification of existing policies.
  • Offers assistance in advising operating management in the administration of compensation programs.
  • Assist in advising managers on individual salary treatment, working within established policies and guidelines.

  • Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
  • Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
