About the Role:
The Sr. Analyst – SCA is an experienced professional responsible for supporting variable incentive compensation (commission) plans for a defined portion of the business. This role partners with Sales, Finance, and IT to ensure commission plan functionality is tested and operating effectively in MAGNYS, inquiries are resolved accurately and on time, internal controls are followed, and opportunities to improve processes and reporting are identified and executed.
What You’ll Do:
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned sales channels regarding sales compensation plan administration, monthly commission questions, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of multiple commission plans, including plan provisions and the business rules required to administer those plans accurately.
• Partner closely with IT Support to test new commission plans, plan changes, and system functionality in MAGNYS, ensuring requirements are met prior to production release.
• Build, maintain, and enhance Excel-based audit and reconciliation files to support testing, validate results, and strengthen ongoing operational controls.
• Resolve helpdesk tickets submitted by the assigned sales channel(s) each month, prioritizing workload to meet established deadlines and service expectations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit procedures, documentation standards, and data privacy expectations related to sensitive compensation information.
• Support Finance requests related to commission expense accruals, journal entries, and related analysis; provide clear documentation and support for variance explanations as needed.
• Identify recurring issues, root causes, and improvement opportunities; drive solutions to enhance plan administration accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Participate in special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and process improvement efforts as needed.
Do You Have:
• College degree and 3–6+ years of professional-level experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas, data validation, reconciliation techniques, large dataset manipulation).
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Finance, and IT partners.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Commitment to excellent customer service, responsiveness, and high-quality deliverables.
Even Better:
• Degree emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with Oracle databases and writing SQL queries for analysis, auditing, or troubleshooting.
• Experience developing or supporting Tableau reporting and dashboards.
• Prior experience supporting incentive compensation administration and/or commission systems in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy with confidential compensation data
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills (data + business rules)
• Ownership, follow-through, and continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to translate plan rules into testing and audit approaches
• Effective stakeholder management across HR, Sales, Finance, and IT

The starting compensation range for this job is $63,500 to $81,700.
