A Brief Overview
The Community Wide Scheduler coordinates and manages scheduling services across various departments and locations to optimize patient care and resource utilization. This role involves scheduling appointments, patient registration, coordinating with clinical teams, confirming patient demographics and insurance information (including verifying and/or obtaining insurance prior authorizations), collecting payments, compliance with all state and federal regulations, managing patient data with accuracy and confidentiality, and ensuring all necessary information is communicated to patients and staff. The Scheduler is responsible for effectively communicating with clinical staff, addressing patient inquiries or concerns, maintaining accurate records, monitoring appointment availability, and make adjustments to meet patient needs. This role requires proficient organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and the ability to handle high volumes of scheduling requests while delivering exceptional customer service.
