Are you the one we’re looking for?
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Community Wellness Worker who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment; to our clients, families, and each other.
The Community Wellness Worker is a mobile position within the Halton Region providing supports to residents of Halton who have been assessed for hoarding concerns, to increase each individual's well-being and mental health, to resolve or mitigate troublesome hoarding behaviors, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts, or emotions, and to improve relationships and social functioning.
This position supports clients, reduces evictions and tenants’ need to access emergency shelter, and works with tenants to problem-solve when tenancies are at risk. The Community Wellness Worker will provide direct services to tenants and also help tenants connect to needed services in the community.
This is a full-time, temporary unionized position with a six-month contract ending March 31, 2027, with the possibility of an extension. The position offers 40 hours per week at a rate of $27.32 per hour.
