The Community Wellness Center Logistics Specialist ensures the operational excellence of IEHP’s Community Wellness Centers (CWCs) by overseeing logistics, facilities coordination, inventory management, and event support. Under the general direction of the CWC Supervisor, this position works closely with the CWC Management Team to address a wide range of facility support needs, equipment issues, and daily center activities.
The Community Wellness Center Logistics Specialist enhances daily operations by implementing process improvements, supporting cross-functional teamwork, and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment. This proactive, detail-oriented professional works effectively across diverse groups and responds to member needs with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance Oversight
- Oversee and manage inventory control for the assigned Community Wellness Center, including forecasting needs, implementing tracking systems, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Improve and direct facilities operations, including coordination and resolution of service work orders, proactive maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting), and oversight of repairs to ensure operational excellence.
- Conduct and evaluate routine facility inspections, ensuring adherence to security and safety protocols, OSHA compliance, and maintaining high standards for building functionality and appearance.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and service contracts. Monitor performance to optimize cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Plan and execute logistics for all special events and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, resource allocation, and member experience standards.
- Monitor and manage CWC grounds and custodial operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IEHP departments such as Facilities, Warehouse, and/or Information Technology, serving as the primary point of contact for operational needs and strategic improvements.
- Implement process improvements for inventory and facilities management, leveraging data and member feedback to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Serve as logistics lead and IT point of contact, handling basic troubleshooting, managing service tickets to resolution, and maintaining clear communication with staff, partners and leadership.
Operations
- Lead logistics planning and execution for all special events and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, budget requirements, and member experience standards.
- Develop and implement process improvements for inventory management and event logistics to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding space utilization, vendor coordination, and event operations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices for logistics and resource management.
Inventory & Supply Management
- Oversee and optimize inventory management for the Community Wellness Center, including forecasting supply needs, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and maintaining accurate records for operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement advanced inventory tracking systems and process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to reduce errors and improve reporting accuracy.
- Analyze operational metrics and member feedback to identify trends, recommending enhancements to inventory systems and event workflows that drive efficiency and improve member experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Facilities, Warehouse, and leadership teams to align inventory strategies with organizational goals and ensure timely replenishment of critical supplies.
- Provide guidance and oversight for inventory-related tasks, ensuring accountability and consistency across all operational areas.
Reception & Member Support
- Serve as the first point of contact at the CWC reception, delivering exceptional customer service, directing members to appropriate resources, and supporting quality improvement initiatives by identifying care gaps and contributing to new practice implementation.
Perform any other duties as required, relevant to the position, center, and organization to ensure Health Plan operations and department business needs are successful.Qualifications
Education & Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of facilities experience required in addition to some experience in any of the following:
- Building systems (HVAC, Lighting controls, electrical power systems)
- Equipment (copiers, fax, general office equipment)
- Warehouse setting
- Electric Pallet Jack
- Cleaning/janitorial practices
- Building operation repairs
- Customer service
- Customer service experience in a managed care setting preferred
- Community based organization experience preferred
- Required: High School Diploma or GED required
- Secure Electric Pallet Jack certification within one (1) month of employment
- Active CPR/First Aid Certification within one (1) month of employment
Key Qualifications
- Must have a valid California Driver’s license and valid automobile insurance
- Must qualify and maintain driving record to drive company vehicles based on IEHP insurance standards of no more than three (3) points
- Basic first aid and safety practices
- Understanding of and sensitive to multi-cultural communities
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal/managed care environment preferred
- Computer skills, including typing, data entry, and managing email
- Maintaining security and safety systems. Strong communication, time management, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Professional skills, including but not limited to balancing multiple projects, constant learning, observing ethical and legal rules, and practicing respect and courtesy
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to drive a box truck and operate a lift gate
- Regularly work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
- Self-starter with ability to evaluate and resolve problems independently and as part of a team
- High degree of patience
- Must be a team player and proactive problem solver capable of accomplishing goals
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be available for work on nights and weekends
- Good physical stamina and dexterity

Applicants must have:
- Ability to drive and travel throughout the entire Inland Empire
- Ability to work evenings and weekends at community events as needed
Pay Range
USD $25.90 - USD $33.02 /Hr.
