Closing date Friday 10th April, 2026.
Salary: £24,672.38 per annum (pro rata for 26.5 hours)
Are you passionate about supporting others? Come and join our friendly team in Sheffield.
We are looking for a part-time (26.5 hours) Community Support Worker with the salary of £12.65 p/h and offers 30 days annual holiday per year (pro rata) plus bank holidays. The hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview.
What you’ll do
You’ll work with local people to build their skills, local connections and friendships. You’ll make sure that the people you work with (Members) are doing as much as they can for themselves, that they are looking after themselves and that they have a life that is bigger than social care support.
• For David, this meant helping him to sort out his money so that he paid his bills and had some money left over to spend on what he’s really passionate about: World of Warcraft. Now he feels in control of his money, he has a new goal and is saving for a trip abroad.
• For Carol, it was about setting alarms so that she remembered to take her tablets. Now she feels less anxious she’s getting out and about and meeting other Members.
You’ll feel inspired and help inspire people. You’ll encourage them to try new things and have new experiences. You’ll reassure but you won’t take over. Every Member you support is unique, and every day will be different.
Your role will be out and about. You’ll meet people in their homes or at local venues.
What you won’t be expected to do:
We support people with a lot of different things to do with leading an ordinary life, but we don’t do things like bathing people or taking them to the toilet. This is sometimes called personal care. If people need personal care, we will work with other local support providers to make sure they get what they need.
Your benefits:
• Generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time team members).
• Excellent training programme to reach your potential – even if that means you move on!
• Flexible working – we are all about supporting people to live the life they want to lead and that includes our teams.
• Pension Scheme with Life assurance of two year’s salary.
• Employee Assistance Programme – face to face counselling and a range of advice.
• We pay for your DBS (previously CRB) and Online Update

We smash barriers to independence through connection, flexible support and skill-building.
Everyone who joins KeyRing has faced some barriers to living independently. They may be moving to their very first home or be at risk of homelessness. They may have multiple support needs or lead a ‘chaotic’ lifestyle.
It does not matter where people begin. We help them to take control of and responsibility for their lives and achieve their full potential.
We focus on all that people can do
By focussing on what they can do, we support people to achieve what they never thought possible. They are empowered and less reliant on services.
Every Member (person who is part of KeyRing) co-produces an action plan with their KeyRing support worker. This will detail specific goals (both short and long-term), actions needed, by when and by who.
We connect people
We actively link KeyRing Members and they provide mutual support. You might call it friendship. We call it real life.
We widen our networks further by actively engaging with the local community. KeyRing Members share their skills and have their voices heard. They become active citizens; they build their confidence, their connections, and their independence.
We provide flexible support
People do not wait for their support day to have a crisis. Nor can they always fit their issues into their allocated support hours. Our connected approach, with peers, volunteers, and staff, means we can allow for the ups and downs of life.
We adapt to local needs
We have a multi-local approach to delivery and know that one size does not fit all. We have adapted the model for particular groups of people and/or to meet specific outcomes. Connection, flexibility, and skill building are the foundation of all our services.
