Job Description

Hours of Work : Fri. 11p-11a (24 hrs. biweekly) (CR48)

The job responsibilities are as follows:

  • Daily supporting clients to work towards their Individual Support Plan - client goals and identified measurable outcomes.
  • Performing a thorough and complete shift exchange with previous shift.
  • Using Catalyst system while administering medications to clients on time and checking/receiving medication that arrive while on shift.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients.
  • Making Guardians feel welcome into the client’s residences and communicating/interacting with guardians of clients as directed by the site supervisor.
  • Supporting client’s care needs such as: hygiene, dressing, making beds, toileting, etc.
  • Assisting and monitoring clients through the entire shift.
  • Completing, reading, and maintaining all required documentation.
  • Planning for, preparing, and documenting meals and snacks for clients.
  • Performing other administrative duties such as weekly confirmations, order money, end of the month client service updates, send in occupancy reports, and any other assigned tasks.

Performing daily and weekly household duties such as: dusting, washing walls, vacuuming, cleaning, laundry, washing windows, shovelling snow, cleaning bathrooms, washing dishes, etc. ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

✅ What You Bring:

  • A certificate in disability studies and/or social work from a recognized institution. Equivalencies may be considered.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with various diagnosis surrounding persons with disabilities.
  • Maintain certification in First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate
  • Satisfactory Criminal record check.
  • Previous experience in disability services or human services is required.
  • A caring, reliable, and person-centered approach
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Possess well developed computer use skills.
