Community Support Worker (Days) - 30 hours are over 4 days (Mon-Fri)

We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support, to come and join our team. We need people to join us who have an upbeat attitude and friendly persona who want to make a substantial difference to the lives of the people we support within our Adult Disability Service.

It is not essential that you have a background in Health and Social Care, you just need to have a good heart and a caring nature. You will support people with disabilities within a day service setting to take part in a range of in-house activities.
We're looking for people who will bring compassion, empathy and a sense of purpose into the lives of others.

  • You will help people to learn new skills, provide assistance to someone who has a disability or needs support with aspects of their care.
  • You will support someone in the day service or on occasional trips out and about in the community.
  • You'll have plenty of opportunity to progress with training and gaining qualifications whilst you work.

The benefits of working in adult services:

Working in adult social care is not just an emotionally rewarding role, it’s one of the most varied too.

Working with a range of people with different needs means every day is different.

  • You'll make a difference to people's lives every single day.
  • You need the right qualities, rather than specific qualifications.
  • On the job training and support.
  • Ongoing career progression, paid qualification opportunities and job security.
  • We are a Foundation Living Wage Employer, paying above the National Living Wage.
  • Up to 31 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays and 2 additional statutory Bank Holidays – we have a generous public sector pension with shared AVC's available and a benefits package which offers support groups, cycle to work schemes & much more. You will also be entitled to the Blue Light Card Scheme which offers further discounts to a varied number of settings. All of which can be found on our LCC intranet page.

  • Interviews will take place on 10th & 11th June 2026

Please contact Marie, Karen, or Caroline on 01254 220660 for an initial informal and confidential chat or call to arrange a visit to Hyndburn Adult Disability Day Service if you want to know more about the role or our service

*This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.

**Please ensure you complete the questions on the application form to evidence how you meet the criteria for the role. The panel may be unable to shortlist you for interview without this evidence.
