Job Description

Role Purpose

To provide quality domestic assistance support to aged care and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) customers, helping them to maintain independence while living in their own home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality domestic assistance care to customers in accordance with Care Plans, the Lifebridge Domestic Support Manual and Lifebridge policies and procedures.
  • Provide in-home services and supports to customer’s including: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning indoor windows, washing dishes, meal preparation, changing bed linen, laundry, ironing, unescorted shopping, cleaning bathroom/toilets and inside fridges/cupboards.
  • Monitor customers health and wellbeing, living conditions and circumstances and report any changes or concerns.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service and establish and maintain effective working relations with customers and carers.
  • Complete, update and maintain all relevant customer related information in the Customer Management System (CMS).
  • Adhere to all Lifebridge policies, standard operating procedures, safe work practices and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Participate in work related training including completion of on-line modules, staff meetings, workshops, mandatory competency assessments and ongoing learning activities as required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in cleaning services, aged care, disability services, or hospitality/accommodation services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centered, community based and/or home care services.
  • Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and experience in customer service.
  • Sound computer skills and ability to use smartphone technology and applications.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely and with minimal supervision.
  • Ownership of a personal mobile (smartphone).
  • Current Drivers Licence and ownership of a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive or third-party property vehicle insurance.
  • Current NDIS Worker Check
  • First Aid Certificate.
