Overview:

We are "making dreams come true." Our organization provides children and adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health challenges—and their families—the education, support, and resources needed to be self-reliant, independent, and valued members of their communities.

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Community Support Professionals to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in our Adult Day programs. In this role, you will help individuals achieve greater independence, build meaningful connections, participate in their communities, and work toward their personal goals in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

What You'll Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of direct care experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
  • Medication Administration certification, if designated for the position.
  • Act 33 and Act 34 clearances required; FBI clearance required if applicable.
  • Physical examination and tuberculosis testing as required by regulations.

A Typical Day May Include:

  • Supporting individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
  • Assisting with community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and social engagement.
  • Encouraging independence, self-advocacy, and participation in meaningful daily activities.
  • Assisting with personal care needs, including feeding, hygiene, toileting, and mobility support when needed.
  • Supporting vocational and employment-related activities that align with individual interests and goals.
  • Monitoring individuals' health, safety, and overall well-being throughout the day.
  • Implementing behavior support plans and communication strategies as appropriate.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, service notes, and electronic records.
  • Participating in team meetings and providing input on individual progress and goal development.
  • Transporting individuals safely to community activities, appointments, and program-related events as assigned.
  • Building positive relationships with individuals, families, coworkers, and community partners.
  • Helping create a safe, welcoming, and person-centered environment where individuals can thrive.
