Job Description

ChildServe is hiring a Community Services Supervisor. This service leader will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Community Services, including Respite and Supported Community Living programs. The role will also ensure a therapeutic, healthy and safe environment for the children, parents and staff as well as be responsible for quality assurance and compliance for all programs under responsibility.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Flexible business hours with rotating on-call for weekends and evenings.

Wage

Salaried $42,000-47,000/year based on experience

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Oversee child service coordination, including intake, admissions, recertifications, scheduling, and family service agreements.
  • Implement and monitor individualized care plans, ensuring quality care delivery, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a key liaison for families by maintaining timely communication, addressing service needs, and supporting attendance and scheduling.
  • Lead workforce management by recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and supervising direct care staff while ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Drive service excellence through staff coaching, performance management, quality assurance, billing accuracy, retention efforts, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for children, families, and employees.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience
  • Experience in Respite and SCL services and experience working with children/young adults with special health care needs is preferred. Equivalent combination of related experience and education considered.
  • Demonstrate proficient organizational and time management skills with developed problem-solving skills and decision-making, and ability to prioritize multiple demands.
  • Must have current valid Iowa Driver’s license. May be required to obtain chauffeur license. Ability to become an approved driver and maintain a driving record that meets facility and insurance approval.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing and speaking the English language
