UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Supervisor, Community Services to join our Behavioral Health Clinic. This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Minimum $56,173 - Midpoint $70,217*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

About the Ideal Candidate:

UNM Medical Group, Inc. has an exciting position available in Rio Rancho for a Community Services Supervisor of community-based services. This position supervises paraprofessionals providing peer support and other community-based services to children, adolescents and their families. The successful candidate will have an interest in sustainable behavioral health program development and experience providing behavioral health services to individuals in the community and supervising paraprofessionals providing services.

The Supervisor, Community Services provides day-to-day oversight, coordination, and operational supervision of assigned community-based programs within the UNM Medical Group (UNMMG). This role provides supervision and support to staff, ensures efficient operations, promotes high-quality patient and customer service, and supports organizational goals related to access, quality, compliance, and patient outcomes. The Supervisor, Community Services serves as a liaison between leadership, providers, staff, patient, and community partners to ensure effective program implementation and continuous operational improvement. This role supports workforce development, performance management, community engagement, regulatory compliance, and process improvement initiatives within a multidisciplinary ambulatory care environment.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Community Services Supervisor:

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience

  • Six (6) years of experience in a hospital, healthcare system, medical practice, behavioral health agency/organization, or human services case management.
  • Lived experience may be substituted for full or a portion of required experience based on applicable community-based program requirements. Lived experience is defined as knowledge based on an individual’s perspective, personal identities, and history, beyond their professional or educational experience.
  • Wraparound Program: Lived experience can count for four (4) of the six years required experience with a high school diploma or GED; one (1) of the two (2) years required experience with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that exceeds the minimum education requirement may be substituted for general experience on a year-for-year basis.?
  • Wraparound program: Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that exceeds the minimum education requirement may be substituted for general experience on a year-for-year basis for up to 4 years. (Master’s degree individuals must still have 2 years of experience working with the target population or Wraparound program)

Certifications/Licenses

  • None unless outlined under applicable program.

Wraparound Program:

  • Preference will be given to endorsed Wraparound Coach or individuals accepted to Coach In Training (CIT) track.
  • Obtain and maintain Wraparound Facilitator Certification from the New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals (NMCBBHP) within 12 months of completing the “Foundations of NM High Fidelity Wrapround Practice” training.
  • Obtain and maintain the Coach Endorsement within 6 months of being accepted to the Coach in Training track.
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted NM driver's license.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Community Services Supervisor:

  1. Supervises operations, setting priorities, developing staff, and ensuring performance goals that support strategic organizational objectives for assigned program; selects and oversees staff; provides coaching, performance evaluation ratings, and professional development opportunities; recommends and ensures sufficient staffing to meet organizational outcomes; establishes and enforces culture of service excellence, teamwork, and accountability in alignment with ASPIRE values. ?
  1. Assign program participants to staff to best suite participant and program outcomes; provide consultation to staff to validate and determine participant requirements; participate in internal planning, case review, and quality assurance activities; monitor program performance metrics, service utilization, productity, patient access, and operational outcomes.
  1. Assist staff or providers in needs assessment of participants medical, behavioral, and social needs and functional limitations; utilize participant information to determine eligibility for applicable programs; assist with identifying and securing resources to effectively deliver needed care.
  1. Oversee-accurate-and-timely-documentation of services provided and ensuring electronic records ?, data collection, ??and program outcomes are-maintained-and tracked-in accordance with ??program and ??organizational standards; ensure all individualized plans of care, crisis plans, and clinical documentation comply with funder guidelines and established models.
  1. Develop and foster strong relationship with community stakeholders, healthcare providers, and child/family teams to ensure smooth and efficient cooperation; develops-and maintains appropriate community-advisory processes-in accordance with-specific program requirements.?
  1. Leads program initiatives to expand-capabilities, optimize resource utilization, and improve service delivery; aligns processes, technology, and staff development to support growth goals across the department; partners with other functional areas and departments to identify process opportunities and implement improvements.?
  1. Develops, maintains, and distributes operational and performance reports for leadership and regulatory agencies; ensures consistency, accuracy, and relevance of reporting-for program effectiveness and revenue cycle functions; uses data-driven reporting to inform decision-making, resource allocation, and program planning.?
  1. Implements service level expectations and operational standards for assigned program, ensuring high reliability of program functional areas and workforce experience; implements service strategies, technology solutions, and staffing models that support superior patient and employee service outcomes; implements service performance goals and fosters a culture of service excellence-consistent with ASPIRE values.??
  1. Implements compliance and readiness processes within assigned program, ensuring alignment with emerging regulatory, payer, and accreditation standards; advises leadership and medical staff on regulatory developments and implements policy and process updates to maintain compliance and quality performance.?
  1. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.?

The Behavioral Health Clinic has an interdisciplinary team providing accessible behavioral health care to the Sandoval County community, while also coordinating care with integrated behavioral providers at the neighboring Sandoval Regional Medical Center and nearby Grande Primary Care Clinic. Team members work collaboratively across behavioral health and related disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, primary care, clinical social work, counseling, and peer support.
