What we’re looking for

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in nursing.
  • 2+ years post-graduate, with broad experience in general/community nursing.
  • Current Registration with the AHPRA, with zero notations.
  • Genuine interest in working in the community and with the aged population (experience an advantage).
  • Compassion and enthusiasm, with a friendly approach.
  • Strong experience in wound and catheter care, and chronic disease management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with families and other clinicians.
  • Australian driver's licence.

The role

  • Provide services such as wound, catheter, stoma and bowel care. Thursday in the Canberra Region.
  • Apply advanced clinical assessment skills for chronic disease management.
  • Administer medications and injections.
  • Perform an optimum standard of nursing care to our clients.
  • Use your exceptional clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills and abilities to provide an optimum standard of care to our clients.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
