Job Description

We help job seekers and career changers prepare for and advance in careers with a focus on sustainable, high-growth, high-demand industries. Our committed and well-trained workforce professionals deliver comprehensive workforce solutions at integrated career centers, sector-focused centers and community, and partner sites.

  • Meet with community organizations to learn about their missions and share information about our mission and goals
  • Maintain current knowledge of state and local guidelines and regulations
  • Act as liaison between various departments to meet client needs
  • Conduct searches for suitable job openings and trainings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer’s requirements
  • Establish rapport with area community organizations; maintain on-going relationships
  • Work with community organizations to identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training initiatives
  • Enlist cooperation of community and business leaders to help increase awareness of available services in the community
  • Communicate with other departments and management to develop strategy and solutions
  • Represent WeCARE services to the community, host roundtables and monthly community-based organization meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, liberal arts or related area and three years’ experience in community relations, sales, or staffing services or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven
  • Exceptional customer service and engagement skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with publicly-funded programs; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families experience preferable
  • Experience in assessing the need for and making reasonable accommodations for customers
  • Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities
  • Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities
