Through food distribution, nutrition programs, and strategic partnerships, FNEFL works to strengthen lives and communities by ensuring access to nutritious food for all. This position plays an important role in advancing Feeding Northeast Florida’s Food is Medicine initiatives by integrating nutrition care with food access programs and healthcare partnerships.
Our Mission: We use food as our catalyst to strengthen lives and communities.
Our Vision: Access to nutritious food for all.
Within the Nutrition Department, Feeding Northeast Florida is advancing programs that integrate food access with healthcare delivery. Our Prescriptive Nutrition Program connects food-insecure patients with nutrition care and medically supportive food through partnerships with clinics, community organizations, and food pantry networks.
This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to provide group-based clinical nutrition care in community and virtual settings. The role focuses on group Medical Nutrition Therapy, telehealth, curriculum development, and clinical documentation for populations affected by diabetes, hypertension, maternal health conditions, and other nutrition-related chronic diseases. The Clinical Specialist develops and refines group curricula and delivery models within established program goals, with approval from the supervisory RDN as appropriate.
This position also documents participant care and outcomes, supports accurate clinical data collection, and works closely with program and data staff to ensure information can be used for reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is an experienced RDN who is comfortable practicing outside of traditional clinical environments, enjoys group facilitation and curriculum development, and can adapt clinical nutrition care for virtual and community-based settings.

Feeding Northeast Florida helps local children and families, seniors and veterans who struggle to put food on the table. Working with local grocery stores, manufacturers and farms, we rescue high-quality food that would normally be wasted and transform it into meals for those in need.
We connect that food to more than 160 partners and programs within our hunger network, like City Rescue Mission, The Sulzbacher Center and The Salvation Army. These partners are able to provide not only food to those in need, but services that can help these families and individuals end the cycle of poverty, including job training or placement, low-cost childcare, SNAP benefits, medical care, affordable housing and counseling.
In 2018, Feeding Northeast Florida distributed more than 14 million meals across our eight-county service area.
Feeding Northeast Florida is Your Community Food Bank. With your help and support, we can make sure one of the basic needs shared by all of us is met every day.
