Job Description

Community Moderator

Deliverables / Responsibilities

●Serve as Community Manager for the Google for Education Community Platform's Google Educator Community. This includes:

○Posting regular content on GfE & Gemini news and product announcements

○Running monthly webinars (providing a perspective and thought leadership on Google tech's role and value in education, hosting thought leaders in this space)

○Monitoring new content submissions (reviewing all new member content submissions and approving/denying posts daily)

○ Moderate for inappropriate behavior

○Attending weekly production sync with iTalent

○Filing bugs as-needed for feature requests and to notify developer team of bugs on the platform

○Providing community structure / design / feature recommendations with the goal of improving the UX and engagement in the group

○Working with xfn teams to post announcements about the Educator community to drive new users to the Educator Community

○Grow, foster, and retain community members

○Drive engagement and posts on the platform - post engaging content and invite others to post

○Post regular, high-impact content to the GEG Communities (Higher Ed and K-12).

○Localization & GEG Content: Work directly with regional leads and GEG Leaders to curate and post up-to-date content, ensuring relevancy and localization across GEG regions.

Reporting and Feedback

●Export data analysis reports from the platform and provide high level summaries to the Impact Team

●Summarizing feedback and reporting: Gather community insights, identify trends, and generate reports to inform program improvements.

Serve as a Community Manager for the GEG Communities

●Higher Education

●K-12

●Working with regional leads and GEG leaders to post updated content

●Creating the structure needed for the GEG Leader regions

●Working with Program Manager to determine which are needed

Suggested experience:

●5+ years in Education or EdTech

●Bachelor's degree
